We recognise that visiting the vet can be a fearful or distressing experience for dogs and their owners, because of this, we work really hard to ensure we are practising the best approaches that we can. This starts with advice prior to your visit, ensuring a positive experience in the waiting room and the consulting room, understanding your dogs behaviour including gentle handling, right through to individualised hospitalisation plans during longer stays.

Winnington Veterinary Clinic is now an approved ‘Dog Friendly Clinic’.

This is a scheme set up by Dogs Trust and The British Veterinary Behaviour Association to help vet clinics and owners make every dog’s veterinary experience the best possible.

To qualify as a Dog Friendly Clinic we have to pass a number of requirements in our reception area, consulting rooms, kennels and ensure that all members of our staff understand and are practising the same dog friendly approach .

Aimee Richardson is our ‘Dog Friendly Advocate’, she and the rest of our friendly team will be more than happy to answers any further questions about our Dog Friendly Clinic status.
