In line with current government and Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons guidelines relating to Covid-19, we are adapting our procedures to enable us to maintain a high standard of care to our patients, whilst reducing the risk of transmission and safeguarding our staff and clients. Effective immediately:

  • The hospital building will remain closed to the public
  • If you attend an appointment, please:
    • Confirm your arrival by phone or using the intercom at the front door
    • Please wait with your pet in the carpark, remaining at least 2m from the entrance and other clients
    • A vet or nurse will come to the carpark to collect your pet. Please ensure you remain 2m from the member of staff
    • The vet will discuss your concerns, any findings and the plan with you either by phone or in the carpark, remaining 2m apart
    • Your pet will be returned to you by a vet or nurse
  • We request that you make payment for the consultation and any medication by card over the phone
  • Any medicine prescribed will be placed in a collection box in the porch area for you to collect. Please maintain social distancing of 2m from staff and other clients at all times
  • If you are collecting pre-ordered medication or food please contact us by phone or intercom on arrival and follow the guidance above
  • Please do not attend appointments or collect prescriptions if you are self-isolating or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (cough, fever, loss of taste or smell).
    • If you are in the above situation and require a repeat prescription please contact us on 01606 880890. We can process the request and payment over the phone and someone can collect it on your behalf.
    • If you are in the above situation and your pet needs medical attention please contact us on 01606 880890. We can advise over the phone and arrange an appointment for a friend or neighbour to bring your pet.

Thank you for your co-operation

Delivery update

Since 21st March and throughout lockdown we have offered a free delivery service for medication and food. In light of the easing of lockdown, changes in rules for social distancing and an increase in our ability to see patients at the hospital, we are unfortunately unable to continue to offer this service.

We have been delighted to help our clients during the darkest periods of lockdown and look forward to continuing to support our clients in whatever way we can. If you are currently isolating or have difficulty in attending please do contact us and we will do our very best to help.
