Annual Charity Open Day
Sunday 2nd September 2012
Hollybank Veterinary Centre in Sandiway is once again opening its doors to the public on their Annual Charity Open Day. Last year over £1000 was raised for charity – and this year Hollybank hope to do even better!! This year they are raising money for both The Joshua Tree charity and Neuromuscular Centre. Joshua Tree is the local children’s charity aiming to develop a holiday home and support centre in Cheshire, where children with life threatening illnesses can stay with their families. The Neuromuscular Centre ensures adults with Muscular Dystrophy continue to get the support and physiotherapy they need.
This year’s open day is on Sunday 2nd September 2012. Guided tours of the hospital will be provided by members of the Hollybank Team allowing a ‘behind the scenes’ glimpse of the work of the vets and nurses. Richard Hewitt, Practice Principal, explains why he thinks tours are important. ‘Here at Hollybank we are very happy for our clients to see beyond the consulting room door. It is very important that pet owners feel comfortable with where they leave their pet – whether it is for routine neutering or a hospital stay- and we welcome the opportunity to show people our hospital, of which we are very proud. Everyone is welcome to come and have a look round, whether you have been to us before or not.’
Many attractions are planned for the day including DJ Danny, Granny’s Bakery Stall, face painting, bouncy castle, biscuit decoration, BBQ, ice-cream , Avian Veterinary Services, the Groom Room, the return of our ever popular Grand Raffle and much more!
Raffle tickets are on sale now from the practice and tours will be available on the day from 10am – 3pm. For more information contact Hollybank Vets on 01606 880890.
