Cat Burdett DipAVN CertVNECC RVN

Cat is our head nurse and has been working in practice since July 2006.

Cat grew up in Weaverham and began her nursing career working at veterinary practices in Northwich. She then moved away to Worcestershire where she completed her training and gained her qualification. She joined Hollybank as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2012.

In work Cat has a keen interest in feline nursing and has achieved a distinction in the Advanced Award in Feline Nursing. She also holds a Certificate of Veterinary Nursing in Emergency and Critical Care (CertVNECC). Cat recently achieved her Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (DipAVN) at Harper Adams University.

Outside of work Cat likes to grow her own veg, enjoys baking and decorating cakes and spending time with her cat- Lupin.

Aimee Richardson BSc (Hons) CertVNECC RVN

Aimee began working at Hollybank in June 2015 after completing her degree at Harper Adams University. Originally from Manchester, she now lives locally, and has a dog called Homer, and four pet rats called Pixie, Nutmeg, Minnie and Smudge.

Aimee particularly enjoys medical nursing of inpatients and getting to know the animals and their owners. She holds a Certificate of Veterinary Nursing in Emergency and Critical Care.  She also enjoys training student nurses, often with the help of Homer, who is always happy to help out with bandaging practice!

Outside of work Aimee enjoys going for long dog walks, reading and making handmade dog collars and pet accessories.

Alicia Steele BSc (Hons) CertVNECC RVN

Alicia is our Deputy Head Nurse and Lead Nurse at our Winnington practice. She studied for her Veterinary Nursing degree at Myerscough College for four years and became a Registered Veterinary Nurse in July 2015, she has been at Hollybank since then.

Alicia enjoys all areas of nursing but has developed an interest in emergency and critical care and holds a Certificate of Veterinary Nursing in Emergency and Critical Care. She also enjoys nursing inpatients and surgery.

Alicia is one of our clinical coaches and is responsible for training veterinary nurse students on their placement year. She also coordinates our work experience placements.

Outside of work Alicia loves cuddles with her two cats Gylly and Morty, going hiking, climbing, trips in the campervan and watching her favourite bands!  

Rebecca Donington RVN

Becky studied at Harper Adams University and completed her placement year here at Hollybank. She originally grew up in Leicestershire but decided to move to Cheshire after she graduated in 2022 so that she could return to Hollybank as an RVN! 

Becky is now one of our clinical coaches meaning that she is responsible for training the next generation of student veterinary nurses and supporting them through their placement years. She has also taken on lead roles in our behaviour referral advice service and our orthopaedic service.

In practice Becky particularly enjoys inpatient care – nursing our patients back to health, as well as meeting and getting to know clients and their pets through nursing consultations. In her spare time Becky enjoys running, going for walks, travelling and spending time with her family and friends. 

Katie Cotter RVN


Katie trained as an apprentice nurse at a local hospital and became a registered veterinary nurse in March 2022. She joined the team at Hollybank in August 2022.

Katie loves all aspects of her job but particularly enjoys consulting and nursing our in-patients. She loves chatting to owners and getting to know their pets.

In her spare time Katie likes to explore with her crazy collies Jock, Millie and Molly, and have cuddles with her cat Toby.

Francesca Masuri RVN

Francesca studied at Sparsholt University Centre in Winchester and graduated in 2022. She previously worked at an exotic vets before moving here in October 2023. She enjoys all aspects of being a veterinary nurse but particularly surgery and inpatient care.

She has two cats at home – called Lexi and Lucian. In her spare time she likes to spend time with friends and family and going swimming and hiking.

Holly Ehlen RVN

Holly grew up in Northwich, but moved to Cornwall in 2020 to carry out her degree in Veterinary Nursing with the University of Plymouth. After qualifying in 2023, and spending some time exploring Cornwall, she moved back to Northwich and joined the Hollybank team in July 2024.

She enjoys all aspects of nursing, but particularly enjoys nursing clinics and developing bonds with her patients and her clients. She is excited to expand her knowledge on in-patient care and medical nursing.

Outside of work, her hobbies include horse-riding, baking and exploring new places with friends.

Katie Marsh RVN

Katie previously worked at Hollybank during her placement year and has recently returned after graduating from Harper Adams University in July 2024.

In practice, Katie enjoys inpatient care and mending your furry friends back to health as well as monitoring anaesthetics. She also enjoys working with your animals during socialisation visits to make them more confident here with us at Hollybank!

In her spare time Katie loves baking, long walks and going to concerts

Jess Hinder RVN

Jess has recently graduated from her four year BSc (Hons) degree in Veterinary Nursing at University Centre Reaseheath, however has been at Hollybank as a student for three and a half years. 

Originally Jess is from Essex and relocated to Cheshire to complete her degree and continue working with the “amazing Hollybank team”. 

As a nurse she is very interested in behaviour and aims to one day progress to become a clinical animal behaviourist. 

In her spare time Jess likes to go on hikes with her partner, go horse riding and spend time with her family and two dogs.

Charley Antonsen-Roberts RVN

Charley first joined Hollybank during her placement year and was delighted to return as a qualified veterinary nurse after graduating from Harper Adams University in July 2025.


She has a real passion for in-patient care, finding it especially rewarding to help nurse your furry friends back to full health. Charley also enjoys running nursing clinics where she gets to know patients and their owners while offering advice and support.

Away from work, Charley loves exploring new places when travelling and spending time with her friends and family.

Mia Stanley SVN

Mia was raised in West Yorkshire but moved to Shropshire to study BSc Veterinary Nursing at Harper Adams University in 2022. She then moved to Cheshire in 2025 to carry out her placement year with us here at Hollybank.

Mia is really excited to be learning all aspects of veterinary nursing and has a keen interest in exotic animals and anaesthesia. She hopes that somehow, she will be able to combine the two areas in the future!

In her spare time Mia loves going to concerts, watching tv-shows, travelling and spending time with family and friends!

Ruby Thomason SVN

Ruby is studying for her vet nursing degree at Harper Adams University. She has lived in Northwich for most of her life and has decided to spend her placement year at Hollybank after carrying out work experience with us in 2022.

Ruby likes nurse consultation appointments as she enjoys talking to clients in and learning more about their pets. She is also interested in inpatient care and helping animals through their recovery.

In her spare time Ruby enjoys going to Gymnastics and spending time with her cat Pearl and Dog Minnie.
